You may be pleased to know that it is annual report time.  Actually,
past time.

We need a fairly concise summary of accomplishments in the period
1 July 1973 through 1 July 1974, with references to reports and articles.
The treatment should be aimed at readers who are knowledgeable in
computer science, but not necessarily in your speciality.  Try to
convey the objectives of your work and the general approach, but
keep it informal and don't try to be complete.

You are encouraged to relate
and contrast your work with other work in the field and to brag
about significant accomplishments.  Enclosed is
a copy of what we said last time, in our Ten-year Report.

I need your input by Thursday, October 3.  It would be nice if it
were already a computer file by then.

Later in October, those projects receiving ARPA support will be
called upon to augment this material with a plan for the period
July 1975 through June 1977, to make up a new proposal.
